Description

The colour of Loire sauvignon blanc and just as chiselled. Notes of engine grease, sourdough starter, fermenting wash, cut grass, lemon juice, hay, fresh langoustines and kelp. A pristine young Islay malt with a blade-like keenness. Reduction gives more ash, more fermentary and autolytic notes and a stony minerality. The mouth begins on preserved lemons, salt water, metal polish, peat oils, cigarette ash and tar liqueur. Also a fresh and punchy Mezcal. Even some smoked grains and a lemon drizzled kipper or two. Water gives lime zest, lemon oil, a slice of ripe peach and a couple of pineapple cubes. Some ashy BBQ notes linger in the finish.
