Description
At first we found an abundance of yellow flowers, pollen, honeycomb, fruit gums, touches of furniture polish, lemon lozenges and pears baked in calvados. A custard tart lurking underneath. With water we got freeze dried raspberries, chocolate limes, cumin salt, Moroccan spice rub and preserved lemon. A little jasmine tea, rosewater and dry earthiness too. The palate was drier; all on ovaltine, aged grappa, blackcurrants, cider apples, subtle waxes and hints of aged bourbon. Some orange bitters, liquorice and firecrackers were in the mix as well. Water made it more buttery with notes of dunnage, hessian, treacle sponge, lime oil, candy floss and wild strawberry.
